Chester Gap Firemen
Given Ambulance
At the regular monthly meeting of the Chester Gap Vol. Fire Company of Friday, April 5th, Mr. Hugo Stribling, prominent Morrisville, Va. well driller, presented the members with a Packard ambulance. A short time ago Mr. Stribling also presented the fire company with a complete deep well at the fire house. At the conclusion of the meeting a resolution was presented and passed unanimously making Mr. Stribling a lifetime member of the fire company and honorary chief. The whole community joins in expressing it’s appreciation and gratitude to Mr. Stribling for his interest in our fire department and for his most generous gifts.
Mr. Foster Given
5-Year Certificate
Mr. Herbert A. Foster, Flint Hill, Virginia, was presented a Certificate of Appreciation for five years of uncompensated service as a member of Selective Service Local Board 102. Mr. N. H. Corman, representing the State Director, Captain Charles L. Kessler, brought the certificate April 2.
