National FHA Week

April 1-6 was National F. H. A. Week. Miss Betty Blanton, teacher of Home Economics reports that the F. H. A.’ers of Rappahannock High School observed it by helping the various teachers during their study halls, wearing their pins and ribbons, serving a tea for the teachers, presenting each teacher with a red rose and giving the eighth graders a guided tour of the Home Economics Department. Many F. H. A'ers have been busy decorating eggs. These will be taken to Sunset Haven Nursing Home as Easter favors. Before taking them, they will be on display in the showcase at the High School.

BRIDAL SHOWER

Saturday evening Miss Judy Sisk of Culpeper and Mrs. Louise Haring gave a surprise bridal shower in honor of Miss Charlotte Jenkins and Johnnie Gaines at the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. Dick Jenkins. Those attending besides the hostesses were Mrs. Loretta Lee and Miss Shirley Smoot of Washington; Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie Leake and daughter Phyllis of Woodville; Mr. and Mrs. Early Sisk, Mrs. Milton Sisk and daughters, Jessie and Jean and Mrs. Lester Deal of Sperryville; Mrs. Edward Green, Mr. and Mrs. Gid Jenkins and daughter, Joyce, Mrs. Fred Jenkins and Mrs. Raymond Fincham of Slate Mills.
