David S. Anderson
David Smith Anderson of Sperryvlle died Friday, April 5, 1963, at University of Virginia Hospital, following a recent illness. Son of the late Morgan Anderson and Marth Marpel, his wife, and a native of Gore, West Virginia, he was 50. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Gladys Dodson Anderson; three sons, David Smith Anderson, Jr., Roger Lee and Thomas William Anderson, all of Sperryville; three brothers, Carson and Loring Anderson, both of Washington, Va„ and Charles Anderson of Sarasota, Fla.; and three sisters, Mrs. George Smoot of Washington, Val, Mrs. Ralph Gillespie of Front Royal and Mrs. Richard Bromley of Berryville. Funeral services were held Sunday, April 7, at 3:00 p.m. at Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church, Sperryville. The pastor, the Rev. Clyde Melton, conducted the last rites. Interment followed in Sperry, ville Cemetery. Pallbearers were Irvin Kilby, James Falls, Dr. John P. Snead IVT i* V. Merrill, Robert W. (Brown, Raymond Hawkins, WUliim Dodson and Cecil Atkins^ Arrangement were handled by Geest Funeral Parlors.
