Two Auto Accidents
Occur Saturday
Two accidents were reported in Rappahannock County Saturday night. At 7:30 p.m. on Route 211 five miles west of Sperry. ,ville, a I960 Corvair sedan , owned and operated"Tty TJeBter Leroy Putman of Elkton sideswiped a 1962 Ford Falcon. The Falcon was owned and driven by Jirair Alexan Injejikiau of Washington. Center, Washington, D. C. The Putman vehicle was traveling too fast for existing road conditions and skidded into the Falcon, according [ to Trooper W. A. Buntin. | He estimated damages at j $350. There were no injuries. On the same evening, at 11:30 p. m. on Route 626 in the Town of Washington, Charles Robert Pierce driving a 1960 Volkswagen panel truck owned by Mary Mellen Orchards failed to execute a turn on the Blacksburg RoadHe was going too fast, according to Trooper Buntin, and ran in a ditch then struck a utility pole breaking it. Pierce was not injured. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $400 and to the pole $150.
