Sperryville Fire Company answered a call on Saturday to Boston where a car was on fire which was destroyed.
Washington Fire Company answered a call Monday night to a fire on Mt. Salem Mountain. Little damage was done. Rappahannock Rescue Squad took Guy Burke to University H os pit al in Charlottesville on Friday night. On Sunday James and Robert Jenkins were taken from Dr. Snead’s office to University Hospital. On Tuesday the Squad was called to the home of Herbert Smoot to take Larry ; Smoot to Dr. Snead’s office where stitches were taken in his head. Amissville Fire Co. answered a call Thursday to a field fire at Eugene H. Cookes.*They also had a call to a small field fire on the Tapp property on the Laing Road. Saturday and Sunday they answered an alarm to a "woods fire at Jeffersonton.
