She "attended elementary and high school in Rappahannock County. The announcement of the Valley Forge Classroom Teachers Medal awardees represents a continuing program by Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge to seek out and recognize those outstanding classroom teachers who have realized the importance of laying a firm foundation for youth in the fundamental concepts of American freedom. Freedoms Foundation at VaF ley Forge was founded in March 1949. It is a nonprofit, nonpolitical and nonsectarian organization created to bring about a better understanding of the basic principles underlying our Republic with it6 democratic methods. The Foundation's funds come from the widest national sources—individual, corporate and foundation. Former President Dwight D. Eisenhower is National Chairman, James A. Farley, New York, is Vice Chairman.
