The Rappahannock Arts and Crafts Project will hold its second annual showing, October 15 - 16 and 17 between 1 and 5 p. m. at the Rappahannock Library, Washington, Va. The Exhibit will feature many different types of artwork and handcrafts, including paintings, pottery, rugs, baskets, carvings, knitted objects. It is also the hope of the Project that some of the fine photographers in thecoun ty will display pictures of particular interest to Rappahannock citizens. The Show is open to all people of the county and an appeal is made to everyone who does a craft to display some of his work. No entry fees and no admission will be charged. Objects for exhibit must be brought to the Rappahannock Library Thursday, October 14 between 1 and 4 p. m. and must be removed Monday Octo ber 18 between 1 and 4 p. m. Some exhibitors will have price tags on their wares so objects may be purchased after the end of the show from the exhibitors. No selling will be done at the show. The first show by the Rappahannock Arts and Crafts Project was held in October, 1964 and was attended by more than 300 people. There were more than 350 objects miade by about 60 Rappahannock citizens. All who attended expressed delight and amazement at the wealth of local talent. Make plans to attend the show this year - you’re sure to enjoy it and you will be proud of Rappahannock artists and craftsmen.
