4-H Pony Show
Winners Named
The Rappahannock 4-H Light Horse and Pony Club held a show Saturday morning at the 4-H show ring located on the farm of Judge and Mrs. R. V. Snead, Washington. About a dozen contestants participated in the ten classes. Mrs. John R. DeBergh, Washington was director of the show. The first class was fitting and showing and Diane DeBergh with Bullseye placed first and was awarded a silver cup. Runners up were Jean Payne with Trigger, second; Frances Wood with Rocket, third. Ribbons were awarded them. In Beginning Equitation Frances Wood placed first and Susan Dodson was second. Prize for this group was a mane comb and a ribbon. Intermediate Equitation was won by Jean Payne who received a cleaning hook. Ribbons went to Diane DeBergh and Janet Payne for second and third, respectively. In the Open Hack class Jean Payne won first place on Trig ger and was awarded a curry comb. Ribbons went to Martha Lou O’Bannon on Polly and Mary Lib Snead on Diane DeBergh’s Bullseye. Martha Lou O’Bannon with Polly won first in Bareback Riding and was awarded a swipe. Ribbons were given
