Amissville Methodist Church j on October 29, 1967. Mr. T. C. Barron, Mr. T. A. | O'Halloran, and Mr. Eddie Hackley presented the building i for dedication along with the: note paid in full to be burned.
The organ was given in mem-! ory of Mrs. Madie Clare Green Zell. It was presented for dedication by her daughter, Mrs. Barbara Jeane Canham of Malibu, California, and by her neice, Mrs. Fred Glennie of Bethesda, Maryland. The day was concluded with lunch in the social hall.
Shooting Match
November 8th will be the i first of a series of Shooting! Matches to be held each Friday at 7 p.m. at the Washington Carnival Grounds. Prizes will consist of oysters, hams, turkeys and pigs. Sponsors for the shooting matches will be Rappahannock Rescue Squad. Washington Volunteer Fire Department andJaycees.

Everett Poe, a native of Amissville, returned to the county last week to visit relatives after an absence of 35 years. Mr. Poe left the area in 1932 and went to New York with a show stable. From there he went to Alabama and then to California where he now resides. He lives in Bellflower, a small town near Long Beach where he has a landscape gardening business. He is married and has one son. He is the son of Mrs. Oliver Poe of the District Nursing Home, Manassas and the late Mr. Poe.
