A funeral service was held Thursday, November 23 at 2 p.m. at Geest Funeral Chapel, Culpeper for Mrs. Mamie Louise Stringfellow, 67, of Amissville who died November 20, 1967 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital. Interment was in Hillcrest Memory Gardens near Jeffersonton. Her
[former pastor, the Rev. John |Hodge, officiated. ! Mrs. Stringfellow was a native of Culpeper, daughter of the late Bike and Annie Kemper Spicer. She is survived by her husband, Jesse Franklin Stringfellow; five sons, Ned R. J. Frank, Robert L., Thomas R. and Bernard J. Stringfellow, all of Amissville; five daughters, the Misses Carrie L., Mary E., Edith R. Stringfellow, Mrs. Edna P. Thomas and Mrs. Marie Jeffries, all of Amissville, and 32 grandchildren. Also four brothers, iLes Spicer of Culpeper, Walter and Russell Spicer, both of Amissville, and Marion Spicer of Ben Venue.
Mrs. Ellen T. Woods Mrs. Ellen T. Woods, mother of Mrs. Harold Stukey of Washington, D. C. and Sperryville died on November 22, 1967 in Washington, D. C. at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Stukey. Private funeral services were held on Saturday November 25, with interment in Ellsworth, Maine.
