A fire at the home of Paul Burke near Washington was discovered Monday morning by rural letter carrier C. B. Palmer as he covered his mail route. .The Washington Fire Department responded, pulled a burning Sofia from the house and extinguished the fire inside. The structure was saved, however, water damage was extensive.
