The Rappahannock Garden Club held its annual Christmas luncheon on Saturday. Among those attending the event were Mr. and Mrs. Howard Waddell of Boston, Mrs. Ralph Smiley, of Amissville, and Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Perkins of Sperryville, pictured above. The luncheon is held instead of a regular December meeting and the program consists of exchanging gifts, the wrappings of which are judged in place of an exhibit. Each person participates in the judging and seen here at the gift table making up their minds are Mrs. W. H. Cordle, Mrs. M. F. Biddle, both of Sperryville, Mrs. Evan A. McNear, and Mrs. W. C. Hall, Washington, in lower photo.
