Chester Gap Fire Company and Rescue Squad has scheduled the annual carnival in that community for Wednesday through Saturday. July 1. 2, 3, and 4. Features of the four-night event will be games, rides, food, prizes and beauty queens.
Two new rides have been added to the midway. A merry-go-round and a ferris wheel will thrill the youngsters in addition to the many rides regularly scheduled.
A contest for carnival queen is being held and the fortunate young lady will be announced Friday evening and the coronation ceremony will follow. Climaxing the carnival activities will be the awarding of a grand prize of S500 cash on Saturday night.
The usual hamburgers, hot dogs. etc. which always taste better at a carnival will be on sale along with many homemade treats.
