the farmer and his son. Seems that they were going into town one Saturday morning, both riding a donkey. As they came into the outskirts of the town they were ridiculed for overburdening the poor donkey. They boy walked to relieve the donkey, the father was criticized, they swapped positions--the boy was inconsiderate to make his poor father walk. So, they put their heads together and said; “We will please everybody this time, we will carry the donkey.” They did to the amusement of the townsmen. Sooooo, they decided that it is wasted effort to try to please everyone. As a great statesman once said; “You can please some of the people all of bhe time, you can please all of the people some of the time, but, you can not please all the people all of the time.”
