Washington firemen, rescue squads men and auxiliary members took a break Tuesday evening after plans and preparations were complete for the opening of the 4-day carnival which took place last night at the carnival grounds east of Washington. After rides were erected, inventories checked, lights in order and the dozens of other errands completed. Harold Brown Estes and Billy Alther were found reclining in a seat on the Merry-go-round along with Johnny Ray Pullen, Mr. and Mrs. Ennis Jenkins, Mrs. Warren Foster, Bruce Critzer and Steve Bailey. The carnival continues through Saturday and the support of everyone is needed to assure a successful fund raising event.
