The twenty-first annual eomI mencement of Rappahannock ! County High School is scheduled for Wednesday evening, June 9, 1971 at 8 p.m. in the school , auditorium. At this time forty-two graduates of the school will receive diplomas presented by the principal, Dennis Wingfield The invocation will be given by William L. Payne and C. G Thornhill will welcome guests to the exercises. Selections by the school chorus will follow. Guest speaker Ray V. Sonner, Executive Assistant to the President of Madison College, will address the group of graduates and audience. George Patterson, assistant principal, will present the graduates to Mr. Wingfield who will deliver the diplomas and make awards. The benediction will be given by Brenda Mae Settle, followed by the recessional.
David M. Cordle is valedictorian of the class and Lois Evelyn Yates is the salutatorian. Standing third academically is C. G. Thornhill and in fourth place is Christine Ij'ox.
Class officers are: C. G. Thornhill, president; Brenda Mae Settle, vice president; William L Payne, secretary; and Lois Evelyn Yates, treasurer.
