Floyd Jeannont of Roselee, N. J. was a luncheon guest Friday of Mr. and Mrs. Charles C. Burke on Blue Ridge Avenue. Sunday evening guests were Mr. and Mrs. Ashton Burke of Warrenton. Mr. and Mrs. Burke spent Monday with their son and daughter-in-law Mr. and Mrs. C. Cletus Burke in Front Royal.
Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Fairfax spent several days last week with their son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Robert Canova in Roanoke. They were weekend guests of the Misses Virginia and Pauline Alexander in Alexandria.
Mr. and Mrs. George W. Beahm and daughter Carolyn were Sunday dinner guests of their uncle and aunt Mr. and Mrs. Louis Smedley in Luray.

Mrs. Bertha Deal
Mrs. Bertha Deal of Sperryville, widow of George Daniel Deal, died May 28, 1971 at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Lile Sisk, in Sperryville following an illness of several months. She was born in Rappahannock County, daughter of the late James and Laura P. Peyton.
4yo* ^qghters, Mrs. Lile Sisk and Mrs. Dolly Sisk of Berryville; six sons, George W. Deal of Sperryville, Harry R., Woodrow L., and Lester W. Deal of Sperryville and Daniel R. and Andrew L. Deal of Culpeper; a sister, Mrs. Lizzie Jenkins of Winchester; 38 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. A funeral service was held ‘Monday at the Geest Funeral Chapel conducted by the Rev. John S. Farrar. Interment was in the family section of the Etlan cemetery. Pallbearers were Randolph Jenkins, Lewis Deal, Nelson Nethers, William Campbell, Randy Ellington, Richard Deal, Wayne Deal and Robert Allen Deal.
