Visitors Saturday of Mrs. Dolly Melborne and family were Mr. and Mrs. Harden Putnam of Marshall.

Mr. and Mrs. John Early have returned home after attending the carpet market in Atlanta, and visiting relatives in Florida last week.

Mr. and Mrs. William Wharton of Arlington and Mrs. Peggy Duggin and son Mike of Springfield were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Compton.

Mrs. John Poe was honored at a family dinner Sunday in celebration of her 80th birthday, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Poe. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Welch of Arlington, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Corbin and family of Manassas, Mrs. Hester Poe, Mrs. Nelson Corbin and Eddie Flock.

Nelson Corbin remains a patient in Prince William Hospital where he underwent surgery a week ago. He was visited Tuesday by Mrs. Corbin and Mrs. Ronnie Poe.

Mrs. Julia Curtis accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Harry Heflin of The Plains to Charlottesville Sunday to visit her brother C.R. Walter who has been ill, and Mrs. Walter.

Mrs. G.E. Doyle returned to her home Saturday after spending a week in Sarasota, Fla. with Mr. and Mrs. Werner Engelke.

J.E. Ellmore is a patient in Fauquier Hospital where he underwent surgery Monday.

Mr. and Mrs. William Tapp and son of Fairfax were afternoon visitors Saturday of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Tapp.
