ONE OF THE most important proposals is to provide for full-time county judges and juvenile judges. This would be accomplished over a period of years and would not affect judges now holding office.
I favor this proposal, and 1 am very hopeful that it will be adopted by the legislature. By far the greater number of civil and criminal cases are handled in our county and juvenile courts. Having full-time judges should provide for faster trial of cases and more efficiency.
Another Commission proposal that is extremely important and worthwhile would be the requirement of trying criminal cases within 120 days of either a preliminary hearing in the county court or an indictment, both of which would
