Developed into a park the river will remain protected and beautiful forever. Flooded out by a dam it will be filled with mud in 80 years, and in the meantime it will be just another commercialized lake with ugly draw-down... a lake where a draw down of only 20 feet, from elevation 240 to 220 will expose 9,000 acres of mud around the sides. This is something the Engineers never mention.
