Trout fishing season arrived at noon Saturday and hordes of fishermen, women and children crowded the banks of the Thornton River and Piney Branch in Rappahannock to try their luck. This scene was repeated many times as individuals and whole families enjoyed the sun and sparkling water. According to Game Warden Irvin L. Kenyon Jr. the count of fishermen did not equal last years.
