This Brown Swiss cow, owned by Ian Pryde of Blue Rock Farm, Washington, gave birth to twin calves March 26. The calves were both bulls and one weighed 87 pounds while the other tipped the scales at 90. Mr. Pryde is building a registered herd of Brown Swiss and this prolific mother was a birthday gift last year from his wife.
