The two visiter centers operate on a daily basis between the hours 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
The two campgrounds, Loft Mountain and Matthews Arm, will be opened a loop at a time as space is needed. The Big Meadows campground which has had two loops open all winter opened the remainder of the sites and facilities within the campground on March 31.
Hoskins also reminded potential visitors to the Shenandoah National Park and the Skyline Drive that while there may be springlike weatner in the Shenandoah Valley and the area to the east of the Blue Ridge, the top of the mountain is still having cold winterlike days and nighttime temperatures are still falling well below freezing. Any visitors planning to travel to the park should dress accordingly.
It was noted that several of the Park facilities aperated by the ARA Virginia Sky-line Company apened March 31. These
