School calendar
AT THE MAY MEETING OF the Rappahannock County School Board, a school calendar for the 1972-73 session was adopted. According to the adopted calendar, schools will open on August 28, with teachers reporting for workshops, conference and pre-school preparation duties one week earlier.
The calendar provides for holidays as follows: Labor Day, September 4; Thanksgiving, November 23-24; Christmas, December 21 - January 1; and Easter, April 19-25. The Easter holiday contains three days which will be re-scheduled as makeup dates for time lost due to weather during the winter months. Final day scheduled for pupils will be June 6 and for teachers June 9. □
