A decrease iri the number of visits to the U.S. Department of the Interior’s Shenandoah National Park at Luray was posted in April as compared to April 1971, according to R. Taylor Hoskins, superintendent.
Visits last month totaled 161,300 in comparison to 187,800 in April of last year.
However, the calendar year 1972 visits show an increase over calendar year 1971. The visits through April of this year totaled 360,800 against 356, 600 for the same period in 1971 — 1.1 per cent rise.
