Ernest Moffett Smith of Amissville was arraigned in Rappahannock County Court Tuesday morning before Judge R.V. Snead. He entered a plea of not guilty on four charges ranging from robbery to murder.
Smith is scheduled for trial by jury on Monday, July 24.
Other actions of the court included the arraignment of Dana Ford and Ralph Carpenter charged with breaking and entering with intent to commit larceny. The alleged offense occurred March 23 at Castleton.
Judge Snead requested a pre-sentencing report to be returned at the July term of court.
