ABOUT 40 percent of the men who “retire” on social security continue to work at least part time, according to Mrs. Hazel F. Crumpton, social security district manager in Winchester.
That estimate is based on a survey of men who had just begun to collect monthly social security retirement benefits. Eligible workers can claim full social security retirement benefits at 65 —or reduced benefits at age 62.
