The home of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Priest at Amissville was gutted by fire Sunday evening. The Priests left home about 5:30 to spend a week with their daughter and family in Woodbridge and at 7 p.m. neighbors, the Carl Weaver family, dis6overed the blaze. Amissville Fire Company responded to the fire which was brought under control, but only a charred shell remained. The disaster left the Priests devoid of pssessions and their life’s work had gone up in smoke. In addition Mr. Priest is handicapped, so any assistance in the line of furnishings or clothing could be used.
