A series of crashes and collisions have been reported in the past two weeks by investigating officers.
November 8 at 8:15 p.m. on Route 522 north of Flint Hill a motorist struck a cow and another vehicle also struck the animal before it dashed away. According to Trooper W. A. Bun tin, Shirley Jean Seal of Amissville was driving a 66 Chevrolet when she hit the animal sustaining $200 in damages to her car.
A 1970 Plymouth operated by Robert Ausberry of Front Royal had damages estimated at $250 when he struck the animal or another just like it.
