ANOTHER NEW FEATURE of the Rappahannock Races is that a piece of plate will be given for place and show as well as win, in all horse races, timber, flat and brush. ?
By public demand, the first race, the popular pairs race for members of recognized hunts, will start at 11:30 a.m., a half hour earlier than in previous years. The final event, the unique and colorful .hound race, will climax a full day of sport in the Virginia countryside.
The race course is located on Route 522 a mile and a half south of Sperryville on Thornton Hill Farm, owned by Mr. and Mrs. James W. Fletcher. □
