Graveside funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. in Fairview Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Joseph Stirman Jr.

Mrs. Smith was the widow of Charles Harrison Smith. A native of Amissville, she was the daughter of the late James Corder -Cropp and the late Virginia Ramey Cropp. She was an active member of Amissville Baptist Church and the Women’s Missionary Society.

Surviving are a son, Emerson Smith of Amissville and a daughter, Mrs. Silas O’Bannon of Warrenton.

Pallbearers were Puller Hughes Jr., Thomas Hughes, Charlie Compton, John Tapp, Paul Smith, William Bywaters, Graham Hackleyand J. T. Woodward. □
