HELP WANTED
VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS
The Highway Department needs Equipment Operators and Carpenters. If you are interested in a good position with excellent fringe benefits, apply at the Highway Department Office on the Orange Road in Culpeper. Fringe benefits consist of paid hospitalization, sick leave, paid vacation, payment for holidays, as well as a good retirement system. Must successfully complete prescribed physical examination by a qualified physician.
EQUIPMENT OPERATOR A
Qualifications — Must have valid Virginia operator’s license and be able to pass test for Virginia chauffeur’s license, as well as a performance test on selected equipment.
Salary Range — $392 to $490 per month, with starting salary of $392.
CARPENTER
Qualifications — Two years of experience. General knowledge of the practices and processes of the carpentry trade; general knowledge of the qualities, adaptability and uses of wood and various hardware; ability to use the tools and equipment of the trade; ability to work from simple blueprints, sketches, working drawings and oral instructions.
Salary Range — $450 to $536 per month, with starting salary of $430.
Positions will be filled February 16, 1973, with hourly employment effective immediately for those selected and desiring it. '
