(Jut shortening into flour until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Blend in enough milk to make a soft dough. Turn out on lightly floured surface and knead gently 30 seconds. Roll out to 18-inch square. Cut into six squares large enough to wrap apples. Brush squares with melted butter. Combine brown sugar, cinnamon, allspice and nutmeg. Sprinkle evenly over butter. Place an apple in center of each square. Fill apple centers with marmalade. Bring corners of squares up around apples, pinching 4 corners together at top, then pinching sides together. Bake on ungreased baking sheet in preheated 325° oven 40 to 45 minutes, or until apples are tender.
