Sharon Scott, seated, was named queen of Amissville Firemen’s carnival festivities Friday evening just before the rain terminated all activity and the carnival will be completed Friday and Saturday, August 31 and September 1. Sharon received her tiara from outgoing queen, Christine Spicer. Queen candidates were introduced by Miss Rappahannock, Charla Sisk of Sperryville. Pam Kelly, left of the queen, was in second place and Tracey Williams, right, was third. Other contestants were, front row, Diana Eiseman, Karen Curtis, Kim Wayland, Tammy Adams and Tammy Settle.
