There are two happy Seniors walking around that just received acceptances to college. Mary Moore Kilby heard good news from Madison and Longwood College. Janie St. Clair was also accepted by Madison College.
The Rappahannock Jaycees will sponsor a basketball game December 6 at 8 p.m. They will play the “Red Heads” which is a professional woman’s team. 1 The money will go toward the Outside Courts and the Athletic Department. The game will be played at the High School and admission is $3.00. It is best to buy your ticket in advance for this amusing game.
A Youth Festival will be held at the Sperryville Firehall on Saturday, December 1 at 7:30 p.m. It will feature Vernon Brewer, guest speaker and All God’s Children Chorale and a Karate Team. The public is invited and refreshments will be served afterwards. C
SERVICES CANCELLED
Due to the illness of the pastor, worship services at Washington United Methodist Church are cancelled during the month of December 1973. Regular services will resume in January 1974. D
