The marriage of Miss Frances Llewellyn Strough, daughter of Mr. and MrS. Carl F. Strough of Harrisonburg to Joseph Ronald Allison, son of Lewis Allison of The Plains and the late Mrs. Allison, took place November 24 at 3 p.m. in the Enmanel Episcopal Church.
The marriage ceremony, followed by holy communion, -was performed by the Rev. James P. Lincoln and the music by Mrs. I. L. Terrell.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, selected a formal length gown of white silk organza and peau d’ange lace. The sheer bodice featured a high neckline, on which the bride wore a family heirloom, sun-burst pearls and diamond broach, and long sleeves with lace and pearl appliques.
Mrs. Franklin Pretlow Strough of Wytheville, sister-in-law of the bride, was matron of honor. Miss Annabel M. Goff of Danville was maid of honor. The honor attendants chose formal length gowns of ruby velvet and ecru cluny lace. Bridesmaids were Miss Carolyn Allison of The Plains and Miss Audrey R.
