Contestants sought
Sperryville Fire Department is seeking young ladies as contestants in the 1975 Honorary Fire Chief contest which is sponsored by the department in conjunction with the annual carnival held in July. Persons who are interested in participating in the contest may call Donald Gore at 987-8160 or call the fire number 987-3611 and leave name and number and he will return the call. The winner of the contest will be crowned in a ceremony at the carnival grounds on Friday, July 26 and will act as honorary fire chief for a period of a year, representing the Sperryville Fire Company in parades and other activities. □
