Mrs. Edith Brooks and William Goreman of Baltimore spent from Thursday until Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Carl Longmire and family. Mr. Longmire returned home Wednesday after a couple of days in the Veterans Hospital at Martinsburg, W. V.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Waltz and son, Joseph Jr., have moved back into their home in Chester Gap after several months’ absence.
H. P. Cheney is home after a visit with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Perdue and family in Irving, Tex. Mr. Perdue underwent open-heart surgery last week and is reported doing satisfactorily.
The Chester Gap Homemakers Club will meet Tuesday evening, April 8, at 7, (instead of the usual Monday evening), in the home of Mrs. Maybelle Gilkey. Mrs. Llewellyn Allison, agent, will be in charge of the program on “Five Clues to a Winning Wardrobe.”□
