WEDNESDAY morning a single car crash occurred on Route 522 three miles south of Woodville with the vehicle being totalled. According to Trooper C.A. Moore, John Edward Lightfoot of Culpeper, driving a 66 Mercury owned by Carol Ann Jackson, skidded on ice and overturned. No injuries resulted and no charges were placed.
A number of minor, traffic incidents have taken place since last reporting, including two on January 3. Claude Foster of Flint Hill struck a deer on Route 211, three miles west of Amissville. Damage was estimated at $50 to the 65 Ford he was driving.
Joseph Bell of Falls Church was cited for reckless driving by Trooper R.A. Baines when he was involved in a collision on Route s 211 at Cab-Inn. Bell, driving a 67 Chevrolet, struck Jack Clater of Sperryville in a 75 Ford, as Clater was making a left turn. Damage to the Ford was set at $350 and at $500 to the Chevrolet.
