James Lillard of Washington, Va., driving a 69 Chevrolet, was struck in the rear December 31 by a 72 Chevrolet operated by Louis Fultz of Gaithersburg, Md. Lillard was making a right turn. Fultz was charged with following too close and damage was set at $400 and $600 to Lillard and Fultz, respectively.

ON December 21, Kathryn Arn of Sperryville, in a 71 Volkswagen, skidded on ice and overturned on Route 231 south of Sperryville. She sustained bruises and damage was set at $500.

Two accidents occurred oo-the 19th, the first on Route 729 near Flint Hill when O’Gary Shank of Flint Hill fell asleep, ran off the road and through a fence. He was driving a 66 Rambler and was cited for reckless driving. .

On Route 624 near Washington, Ruth Baumgardner in a 72 Dodge was struck by Mary Racer driving a 69 Plymouth. Both are of Washington. Mary Racer was cited for failure to drive to the right of the road.

Trooper G.F. Gregory reported a deer struck and killed on Route 522 on December 28. Stephen Alan Beales of Culpeper was driving a 73 Mazda when he struck the animal at Scrabble. □ •
