Varner
A graveside funeral service was held Sunday for Samuel Walton Varner of Woodville at the Woodville Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Ronald Wiley.
Mr. Varner, 87, a retired farmer died January 2, 1976 in Culpeper Memorial Hospital. He was the son of the late Charles Walton and Nannie Edwards Varner, and a native of Rappahannock County. Mr. Varners was a member of the Washington Masonic Lodge No. 78 and a veteran of World War I.
He is survived by a brother, Bernard M. Varner ofSperryville.
Pallbearers were Jerry Jenkins, Sr., Jerry Jenkins, Jr., Charles Jenkins, Walter Masterson, Aylette Buckner III, H.B. Wood, Jr., Edward Martin and Joseph R. Hawkins. □
Wines
Early Luttrell Wines, 59, of Front Royal died January 2, 1976 in Warren Memorial Hospital. He was born in Amissville, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Wade Hamilton Wines. He had been a truck driver.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Virginia Headley Wines; two daughters, Mrs. Faye Campbell and Miss Judy Wines, both of Front Royal; five sisters, Mr^ Hazel Miller, Mrs. Etta Mauck, Mrs. Thelma Sealock, Mrs. Kathleen Alexander and Mrs. Ruth Groves; and one brother, Joseph F. Wines.
