Out Of The Attic
This home on Warren Avenue in the Town of Washington was built by R. M. Heterick in 1851*1852. He was clerk of the court in Rappahannock County. It is now the home of Steve and Ann Critzer and their daughter. Parker. Parker is the sixth generation of the family to live in the house. The Critzers think the photo was taken in the early 1900s and they can identify some of the people in the photograph. The man standing on the porch is R.B. Heterick. the son of the builder. Robbie Lee, far right, married J. W. Critzer, who is Steve Critzer s grandfather. Mrs. J. W. Critzer served on the all-women Town Council in the 1950s. J. W. Critzer was sheriff of Rappahannock County from 1950-62.
