Rappahannock 4-H’ers won top honors at the CulpeperMadison- Rappahannock Farm Show. Participant* in the livestock area wereVIustin Updike who won Champion British Cross Steer and Champion Exotic Steer and Reserve Champion Overall and Katie Updike who won reserve Champion Angus.
Debbie Zinn and Jake Butler are entertaining nt the Skyland Lodge in Shenandoah National Park. Zinn has mujor roots in Rappahannock with family members in Amissville and Hackley’s Store. Debbie Zinn sang in churches before her professional career. “We do a little of everything," she saja of her music. “There are all age groups up there and you need to be able to please everybody and you have to be versatile.”
Rappahannock Countv Treasurer Francis Foster said county residents will receive refunds under a new law on the personal Droperty tax. If a taxpayer’s car is valued at less than $1,000, they will receive a full refund.
