“Claudia has always had.a large vision for Rappahannock County,” said Sperrvvi.lle resident Barbara Adolfi, who has worked with her on projects. The artist's tour was a part of a larger effort to get Rappahannock more broadly recognized as a tourist destination, and to push for grant money to market the county through Virgfnia.org.

“Well-behaved women rarely make history,” said Veronika Benson (whose husband Jeff Benson also serves on the town council) quoting Laurel Thatcher XMrichv- a professor of history at Harvard University.
"She is a strong, independent leader who, despite daunting personal challenge, has guided and fought to protect the Town of Washington's interests” she continued.
Claudia, who turned 60 on Dec. 30, also has served the wider Rappahannock community as well.
