Director for BlueLine Conservation, said that “the establishment of a land conservation easement gift is a complex transaction. It was very rewarding to participate in a transaction where the two primary parties involved, the Nicklins and the Virginia Department of Forestry, recognized from the outset their shared goal in seeing this easement established. It is gratifying to know that public and private organizations can combine their resources to both achieve the landowners’ goals, and provide a tremendous legacy to the people of Rappahannock County and the Commonwealth.”
