That game with the St. Paul's was one of the prettiest I ever had a hand in, I sent big Mar'- Baldwin in to pitch for us and he nu..le a fine showing. Neither side scored for four innings and I don't mind telling you that excitement was keyed up considerable higher than concert pitch. In the fifth Inning the St. Pauls were once more retired with a gooseegg and Pfeffer crossed the home plate with a winning run for the Chicagos. All considered, it was a great game for the St. Paul team, and Manager Barnes was so happy over the result that I couldn't do any better than jump right in and share it with him.
