Farmers Will Hear Leaf Discussions VPI Specialists Will Come Jan. 15 Worsham Men's Club's regular meeting, Wednesday night, Jan. i4. has been postponed. However, members are invited to attend a meeting in the Worsnam School auditorium at 7:30 p. m.. Thurs day, Jan. 15. County Agent E. F. Striplin will have as guests on the program for tobacco farmers. G. R. Mathews and S. B. Fenne. both of the Extension Seivice, VPI. Mr. Mathews will discuss varie ties. fertilization, rotations, sucker control, and other leaf problems. Mr. Fenne will discuss the to bacco disease situation and pre sent the latest recommendations for control of such tobacco prob lems as Blue Mold. Eiack Shank, Root-Rot, and Root-Knot. Tobacco growers are especially invited, as well as other farmers. If time permits. Mr. otriplin. ex pects to discuss recommended varieties of spring pianted crops.
