Southside Virginia chosen as a training ground for prospective teachers in this field. Cumberland High welcomed the VFI seniors last week. Lewis Brubaker, of Franklin county. Va., and Ausi n Shepherd, of Fluvanna. Va.. are the Blacks burg college men wno will assist with teaching chores and observe methods closely, until the train ing period ends Match 19. Both are agricultural education maiors at VPI. Like most vocational agricul ture teachers, the seniors have been quickly intrbduced to the busy life surrounding vo-ag folks. In addition to classroom and shop instruction, tire two will have full schedules of home visi tation among boys in the classes. Also chores in evening classes, which are made available to com munities through Vocational Agriculture departments wherever they are found in Virginia schools. They're not worried about the remainder of the time in their new community. "There isn't any." one of the prospective teachers said.
