WomanV (lid: Work Vt (Vinip Pickett (s f)iscantimied Friday night concluded the recreational work that the Farm ville Woman's Club has done at Camp Pickett, according to Mrs. Shelton Whitaker, supervisor of the work, and Mrs Emma Anthony chairman. In announcing the end of the program. Mrs. Whitaker wished to express her thanks to citizens of Farmville for their co-operation m the work. For example, enough lood and money were given to entertain 300 soldiers .it the last Farmville Night, sponsored by the Woman's Club. Thursday. Dee. 18 Th 're was enough food left to send refreshments to the Camp Pickett Hospital and sponsor a Christmas Evee party at Service Club No. 2. "We wish to thank Farmville cit'zens for their co-operation m making these parties possible." Mrs. Anthony said. "And we wish to thank especially the Business end Professional Woman's Club and American Legion Auxiliary." Mrs. H. T. Baldwin.
