Thanksgiving Program
The Thanksgiving Program held Wednesday, November 22, was a . kdceeos.'. Th* program,began> with ; singing "America .the Beautiful/* The j>rogtam consisted of five tableaux: the first was the signing of the Mayflower Compact; the second was the wooing of Priscilla by John Alden while the seventh grade sang a song‘about .it; the third was about the old school days when they wrote letters in the sand; he fourth was the Pilgrims going to church with guns-tor protection against Indians; and the fifth was a choral reading and singing by the seventh grade. The glee club sang two special numbers, ‘‘Now Thank We All Our God” and "Come,'Ye Thankful People, Come.” The program ended with the singing of "America" by the whole school with Mrs. 'Raymond Johnson as leader.

The Sperryville High School lunch room has several dozen new plates and forks—one teacher said she had eaten with h spoon so long that she caught herself using one at home. A'so, you’ll find m new waste basket, fresh - shelf-paper, a new canister set,, and fresh paint on the side wails. However, our greatest addition has been Mrs, Harry Woodard as an assistant for Mrs. Schober. '
